A Report on each meeting (except Accreditation Seminars) will be published and posted on this Web site as soon as possible after the event.

Save the Date for DETC's Fall Workshop in Naples, Florida!

The Distance Education and Training Council will hold its Fall Workshop October 18-20, 2009 at the Naples Grande Beach Resort in Naples, Florida.

Online Registration for the DETC Fall Workshop will open later this month on the DETC Web site. Rates are $900 for member institutions and $1,100 for non-members—$100 less than the 2007 Fall Workshop!

The Workshop Program currently is being developed. Anyone interested in presenting at the Fall Workshop should send an e-mail with a brief session description to Rob Chalifoux, DETC’s Director of Meetings and Publications, at rob@detc.org.

Plan to Attend Title IV and High School Seminars

DETC also will be hosting a Title IV Financial Aid Workshop and a High School Seminar in conjunction with the Fall Workshop. The Title IV Workshop will feature a presentation by Dr. Sharon Bob, Special Consultant to DETC. Dr. Bob will cover updates to requirements with which institutions must comply when they become eligible to participate in the Title IV programs—a must attend for any institution working with Title IV Funds!

The High School Workshop is designed to give DETC institutions with high school diploma programs a chance to come together and learn from their peers, ensuring  their programs adapt and stay up-to-date. Both of these one-day meetings will take place Wednesday, October 21, at the Naples Grande Beach Resort.

Rooms at the Naples Grande Beach Resort are available to Workshop attendees at the special rate of $179/night, plus tax and resort fee. To reserve a room, call the Naples Grande Beach Resort reservations line at (800) 247-9810. Please remember to inform the reservation agent you are with the DETC Workshop to receive the special group rate. Also, please remember rooms must be reserved by September 16, 2009 to receive the group rate.
